Tailoring a 3D printer to ceramic powder

Combining cutting edge technology with high performance materials has often proven to be an ideal interplay. A current example is the additive manufacturing of ceramics. The efficient and versatile characteristics and applications of ceramics are widely known, but how can material and part properties be further enhanced and optimized? One answer certainly is additive manufacturing or more specifically, Binder Jetting.

In a joint tailoring project, we have qualified a new high-performance ceramic and tailored a 3D printer with the Japanese ceramics manufacturer AGC Ceramics Co., Ltd (AGCC):  Brightorb™.

In this webinar we will be joined by two experts from AGCC and take you through the journey of the tailoring process and show you deeper insights into the qualification of ceramics for additive manufacturing. Learn, how you can harmonize material and 3D printer and get to know into the many advantages additive manufacturing has to offer.

Our Speaker

Dr. Florian Mögele von voxeljet

Florian Mögele, Manager Material Development

As team manager of the department of material development Dr. Florian Mögele (born 1978) and his team are responsible for the development of new materials which can be processed on the 3D printers of voxeljet. Furthermore, already existing and known material sets from conventional mold production are also a field in which he is operating. He joined voxeljet AG in 2008 as a Team Member for process development. In 2014 he took over the position as head of material development at voxeljet.

Rolf Tachibana von AGCC

Rolf Tachibana, AGCC’s Europe representative

Mr. Tachibana has been AGCC’s representative for BrightorbTM inquires in Europe since mid 2019. He has an extensive commercial background, working in Japan for several years and after that for a big FMCG company in Germany for almost two decades.
